....]FINALE AND NEWS OF THE NEXT ISSUE OF ECHELON

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, this issue forms the first issue of our new volume. We've changed
the format to make it more compatible for the word-processor challenged
[come on, I'm being politically correct here... instead of saying: for
those of you who can't be arsed to download a word-processor or find
one or buy one (warez of course...) ] =)

Except for that, another reason is, text is easy and keeps to a nice
small and internet friendly file size. It's also what 99% of h/p docs
come in, and why should be any different?

Also, RTF, although compatible with all word-processors and pretty
universal, is apparently an MS format. Which just confirms, we should
not use it.

Well there we go, did RTF and got the t-shirt to proove it.

NEXT ISSUES:

This year we're going to be more periodical than bi-monthly. Bi-monthly
is always the aim (come on, it's an accepted lifestyle these days...
oh! suits you... bi-monthly... OH! suits you....).

But we're not always able to bring the issues out on that timescale
as the release dates of docs and stuff vary.

The more high-quality, new, and substantial texts you submit, the
better the issue will be. Echelon is now the official zine of 809 with
dual-releasings of dynamics's docs in F41th and Echelon. You can
expect articles and releases from the following (as well as others):

809/C2600:
-*dynamics
-*NynexPhreak
-*RedBlade
-*Clarus
-*Lucky225
-*Wardy
-*Other Cardiff2600 members

We welcome any decent articles from anyone. In the past and in this
issue, we've had articles from Vortex, NeonBunny, Steven Mizrach and
jaqu as well as many others. If you want to become a member of the
Echelon team, just email me at: inno6@hotmail.com.

In addition to active members of the scene, we welcome any articles of
interest from retired hackers/phreakers and people outside of the
scene who have an interest or who are involved in the legal/technical
side of things. Articles can be submitted anonymously, for those who
would rather it that way.

Anyway, have a great year 2000, and keep reading...

dynamics.
